In 1960 Hilliard gained city status with a population just over 5,600. Today the city has more than 28,000 residents. Selected as one of Ohio’s “Best Hometown’s” for 2012 by Ohio Magazine, you won’t be disappointed living in Hilliard. The vibrant area with an impressive school district is continuously growing.
You won’t find many chain restaurants in Hilliard, but you will find a lot of local eats. A few of the many local favorites are Abner’s Casual Dinings, Old Bag of Nails-Hilliard, Daruma Japanese Steakhouse and Taj Palace Indian Restaurant. Hilliard’s dining experience has something for everyone and always gives off a local vibe.
The Hilliard Community Center is a great way for residents to get involved with the community. Whether through volunteering or simply exercising the community center brings all residents together. A nine hole disc golf course is free of use and is located near the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center. Community gardens are also a big part of Hilliard. Hilliard has two beautiful gardens for you to plot on.
Hilliard’s Station Park is a great place to visit with the family or simply take a walk through. It boasts beautiful fountains in downtown Hilliard and seven-mile Heritage trail. There is an amphitheater here, a bike trail and a place for the community to host events.
